A quick macroeconomic take - I am planning on rebalancing my portfolio in the next month by selling some high growth and big tech names, trimming my profits on any long term capital gains I might be sitting on on my original core positions. As we head into the election, the story seems to be that volatility will increase. I'm scared the increase in volatility will diminish the role that irrational option volume is seeing and will lead to a larger than expected pullback in the index. We are already seeing some grwoth names take a breather, but more volatility could mean a steep drop due to the gambling nature of current market participants
